Generate cryptographically secure passwords using crypto.getRandomValues(). Full charset control, bulk generation, session history.
AES Text Encryptor
Encrypt and decrypt text with AES-256-GCM using PBKDF2 key derivation — the same algorithm used by banks and governments.
→ Document PrivacySensitive Data Scanner
Upload any file and scan it for emails, card numbers, SSNs, API keys, private keys, and more. Get a severity-rated report with line numbers.
→ CybersecurityBrowser Fingerprint Checker
See what 30+ signals your browser reveals to every website — canvas hash, WebGL renderer, screen resolution, timezone, and more.
→ Document PrivacyPDF Metadata Remover
Remove author name, creator software, timestamps, and XMP metadata from PDF files. Essential before sharing documents publicly.
→ CybersecuritySHA Hash Generator
Generate SHA-256, SHA-512, SHA-384, and SHA-1 hashes from text. Supports HMAC signing and hash comparison.
→ Document PrivacyPII Pattern Detector
Paste any text and get a colour-coded map of every piece of personally identifiable information — emails, phones, SSNs, IBANs, and more.
→Tool Categories
All 30 tools organised into five categories so you can find exactly what you need.
Remove location data and metadata from photos, blur faces and sensitive regions, and inspect what your images reveal.
Redact text, anonymise documents, scan for sensitive data, and remove metadata from PDFs before sharing.
Generate cryptographically secure passwords and passphrases, check password strength, and detect breach patterns.
Encrypt text with AES-256-GCM, generate SHA hashes, hash files, inspect browser fingerprints and HTTP headers.
Encode and decode Base64 and URLs, parse user agents and JWT tokens, decode cookies, and test regex patterns.
Why "In Your Browser" Matters
Every tool on this site processes your data locally. Here is why that matters for your privacy.
You open a tool
The tool page loads into your browser. All logic — every algorithm, every calculation — is delivered as JavaScript that runs locally on your machine.
You input your data
You upload a file, paste text, or type a password. That data goes only into browser memory — it is never transmitted to any server, logged, or stored.
Processing happens locally
The browser's built-in APIs handle the heavy lifting: Web Crypto API for encryption, Canvas API for image processing, FileReader for file parsing.
You get your result
Output is displayed or downloaded directly. Close the tab and all data is gone. No account, no history, no data retention — by design.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about how PrivacyToolsFree.com works.
Are these tools really private? ▾
Yes — completely. Every tool on this site processes your data entirely inside your browser using native JavaScript APIs. Your files, passwords, text, and sensitive data are never transmitted to our servers. We have no technical ability to access them.
You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, then use any tool. You will see zero outgoing requests containing your data. The only network activity is the initial page load.
Do these tools upload my files? ▾
No. All file-handling tools — including the EXIF removers, PDF metadata tool, sensitive data scanner, bulk metadata remover, file shredder, and file hash generator — use the browser's FileReader API to read files into local memory only.
Files are never sent over the network. Processing happens in-browser using the Canvas API, Web Crypto API, or JavaScript parsing — depending on the tool. Your files stay entirely on your device.
Are the tools free to use? ▾
Yes — all 30 tools are completely free with no usage limits, no account required, no subscription, and no trial period. There is no premium tier. Every feature of every tool is accessible to everyone without restriction.
The site is supported by contextual display advertising. We do not sell user data, we do not use behavioural tracking, and we do not show personalised ads based on your tool usage.
What technologies power these tools? ▾
All tools are built with vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — no frameworks, no unnecessary dependencies. The key browser APIs used are:
- Web Crypto API — AES-256-GCM encryption, PBKDF2 key derivation, SHA-256/384/512 hashing, HMAC signing, and cryptographically secure random number generation
- Canvas API — image processing for the redaction, blur, and metadata removal tools
- FileReader API — reading uploaded files into memory for hashing, scanning, and metadata extraction
- pdf-lib.js (via CDN) — reading and writing PDF metadata in the PDF Metadata Remover
The only external API call on this entire site is a single read-only GET request to api.ipify.org, used exclusively by the IP Privacy Checker to display your public IP address.
Do I need to create an account? ▾
No account, signup, email address, or registration is ever required. Open any tool and use it immediately. There is no login wall, no free trial, and no limit on how many times you can use any tool.
Because all processing is local to your browser, there is nothing to log in to — there are no user accounts on this site at all.
All tools are free, forever.
No account required. No data uploaded. No tracking. Just open a tool and use it — your data stays where it belongs: with you.
